ACS Concrete & Coatings – A Family Legacy Built to Last

At ACS Concrete & Coatings, we bring more than two decades of experience, dedication, and craftsmanship to every project we touch. Family-owned and operated by Max and Nicole Atencio, our company has been proudly serving clients for 23 years, with roots that stretch back even further—through generations of concrete professionals.

Max Atencio, co-founder and master craftsman, has over 35 years of experience in the concrete construction industry, including 25 years specializing in concrete coatings, epoxies, overlays, and decorative finishes. Max’s journey began early—literally. As he often jokes, “When I was born, my father gave me a trowel instead of a rattle!” His father, Max Sr., was a seasoned concrete contractor in Santa Rosa, CA, and passed down not just tools, but a deep love for the trade.

During the 1990s, Max Jr. honed his skills under his father’s guidance, specializing in track and custom home foundations. He enjoyed the partnership with his Father until Max Sr.’s passing in 2006.

In 2003, Max married Nicole, who quickly became an essential part of the business. Trained in estimating by Max Sr. and managing operations alongside Max Jr., Nicole helped the company grow and evolve while keeping the family values at its core.

In 2022, the Atencios moved their family and business to Austin, TX after Max partnered with Life Deck Specialty Coatings—a company whose high-quality products and contractor support had impressed him for over two decades. As a certified installer and now sales representative for Life Deck in the Austin area, Max brings deep product knowledge and real-world experience to both installers and clients alike.
